Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled ServiceNow Developer with strong hands-on experience in scoped and custom application development. The ideal candidate should have deep platform knowledge, strong scripting capabilities, and experience delivering implementations using scripts rather than only configurations.

Must-Have Skills

• Extensive experience in ServiceNow scoped application and custom application development
• Strong hands-on experience with server-side and client-side scripting
• Experience in implementations using scripts, not limited to configurations
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture, components, and features
• Expertise in:
  • Business Rules
  • Script Includes
  • Client Scripts
  • UI Actions
  • GlideRecord, GlideSystem, GlideAjax

Preferred Skills

• ServiceNow Integrations (REST, SOAP)
• ServiceNow Workspaces
• Experience with ServiceNow modules such as:
  • GRC (Risk Management, Policy & Compliance, Audit Management)
  • SecOps (Security Incident Response, Vulnerability Response)
  • Business Continuity Management (BCM)

Technical Knowledge Expectations

Candidates should have strong understanding of:

• Server-side and client-side Glide classes
• GlideAjax (synchronous & asynchronous) and its advantages over Glide Reference
• Transform Maps and scripts (onStart, onBefore, onAfter, onComplete)
• Update Sets and best practices (update_synch implications)
• Fix Scripts and Background Scripts (workflow control)
• Notification Email Scripts
• Scratchpad usage in Display Business Rules
• Cross-scope scripting and global function calls

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and customize ServiceNow applications
• Implement business logic using scripts and best practices
• Build integrations with third-party applications
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing ServiceNow solutions
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and implement requirements
• Ensure performance, scalability, and maintainability of solutions
