Job description - Network Engineer

• Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles,and general network management best practices.
• Experience of handling customers from the initial point to escalating to the next level based on complexity of the issue.
  
• Design, implement, and support complex network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN).
• Serve as a subject matter expert and final escalation point for critical network issues.
• Maintain network documentation including topology diagrams, asset records, and SOPs.
• Ready to work in the morning or evening shift.
• Good Understanding of Routing and Switching protocols like OSPF, BGP, MPLS, ISIS Understanding of TCP/IP and other networking protocols like DHCP/DNS/CDP/ARP etc.
• Experience in working in an NOC environment. Act as a point of contact for NOC team during the shift hrs. and escalate to concerned stakeholders as defined.
• Good hands experience on Cisco IOS/IOS-XR and Juniper junos
• Responsible for providing network and security operations support.
• Assist in Design, implement, troubleshoot, and manage routing and switching and firewall infrastructure of customers' terrestrial networks.
• Expert knowledge of core routing and switching design principles, best practices,and related technologies.
• Design and deploy company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including Routers, switches and Firewalls.
• Design, implement, and support firewalls, site-to-site VPNs, and remote-access VPNs Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
