**Role Title:** Viptela SD-WAN Build Architect**Location:** Pune/Ahmedabad/Kolkata/Bangalore**Experience Level:** 1015 Years (with 4+ years in SD-WAN Design & Build) **Role Overview**The Viptela SD-WAN Build Architect will be responsible for the **end-to-end design, deployment, and transition** of SD-WAN services within a global network transformation program. The role involves working closely with architecture, engineering and transition teams to deliver a scalable, secure and high-performing SD-WAN solution across multiple geographies and data centers. **Key Responsibilities*** Lead the **HLD and LLD design** for Cisco Viptela SD-WAN environments in line with enterprise architecture standards.* Define and validate SD-WAN migration strategy for existing WAN environments.* Configure, deploy, and test SD-WAN controllers (vManage, vBond, vSmart) and edge routers (vEdge, cEdge).* Develop **network build templates**, configuration standards and deployment automation workflows.* Collaborate with security, cloud, and DC teams to integrate SD-WAN into hybrid network architectures (MPLS, Internet, LTE, Cloud Interconnects).* Oversee **transition and handover** to operations teams, ensuring documentation, SOPs and monitoring integration are complete.* Troubleshoot and resolve SD-WAN build or deployment issues during transition phases.* Participate in governance meetings, design reviews, and client workshops.* Support end-to-end testing, validation and acceptance of SD-WAN services. **Required Technical Skills*** Proven experience in **Cisco Viptela SD-WAN** architecture, design and deployment.* Strong understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), QoS and traffic engineering.* Knowledge of **network security**, segmentation and encryption models.* Familiarity with automation tools (Python, Ansible) and API-driven configurations preferred.* Exposure to hybrid WAN and multi-cloud interconnect (Azure, GCP, AWS) environments.* Experience in **transition and transformation** projects involving large-scale enterprise networks. **Professional Competencies*** Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.* Ability to lead technical discussions and influence design decisions.* Excellent documentation and communication skills.* Experience working in a global delivery and follow-the-sun model preferred.**Certifications (Preferred)*** Cisco CCIE (Enterprise or Service Provider)* SD-WAN Specialist Certification (Cisco or equivalent)**Expected Deliverables*** High-Level and Low-Level Design Documents* Implementation Build Guides and Runbooks* Migration Strategy and Test Plans* Transition Handover DocumentationA 15 years full time education is required.
