Job Role:

The cloud architect will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining our cloud-based network solutions. This role involves working closely with cross functional teams to understand business needs and aligning the cloud architecture to optimize performance, security and scalability.

11+ years of experience in network architecture and design with a strong focus on cloud environments.

What youll be doing:

Design and Architecture

• Design and architect secure cloud network solutions in AWS, Azure and Private cloud environments.
• Develop and enforce cloud network best practices, guidelines and standards
• Partner with other architects to define the technical strategy across the network and drive the execution with teams.
• Stay current with industry trends, innovations and best practices in cloud networking
• Lead the use of automation to manage and maintain the network infrastructure in public and private cloud environments.

Monitoring and Optimization

• Monitoring network performance and implement enhancements to optimize for speed and reliability.
• Optimize cost efficiency across the public and private cloud network infrastructure.

Security Management

• Ensure network security in alignment with industry standard best practice through appropriate business measures, including firewalls, intrusion protections systems and encryption etc.
• Regularly assess and remediate vulnerabilities and threats to the cloud network infrastructure using automation

Collaboration and Support

• Collaborate with application, infrastructure and security teams to plan and deploy cloud-based network strategies
• Provide technical support for network related issues and guidance to junior staff in network troubleshooting and optimizations.

Documentation and Reporting

• Create network documentation for network design, configuration and standard operating procedures.
• Present to technical and non-technical stakeholders on technical strategy and report on network performance.

Key Skills

• Cloud Architecture & Networking
  • Extensive experience with hub-and-spoke topology and spine-leaf architecture.
  • Strong expertise in Azure networking and security, backed by Azure Networking & Security Engineer certifications.
  • Advanced academic background supporting technical depth and strategic thinking.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation
  • Proficient in Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible for deploying and maintaining cloud resources.
  • Skilled in building and managing automation pipelines to streamline operations.
  • Hands-on experience in cloud resource orchestration and infrastructure automation.
• Cybersecurity & Monitoring
  • Solid experience in cybersecurity practices, including firewall management (Palo Alto).
  • Extensive exposure to monitoring and alerting systems for proactive issue resolution.
  • Strong focus on compliance, resilience, and secure cloud operations.
• Storage, Platforms & Emerging Tech
  • Expertise in storage solutions across platform and infrastructure layers.
  • Exposure to AI technologies and their integration into cloud environments.
  • Ability to align storage and compute resources with business needs.
