The Role
As a Mission Operations Systems Analyst, you will develop applications, automation, and pipelines to solve pain points inside and outside the company. Utilizing your problem solving skills and technical resources, you will work side-by-side with stakeholders across Business Development to evolve Palantir’s systems integration processes, enable priority business engagements, and implement custom infrastructure for our colleagues.
On the Mission Operations team, you are empowered to own your projects from end to end, iterating directly with your users and teammates to deliver technical outcomes that better our business. These outcomes may range from custom applications, to open source tools, to building on top of our core products to unlock Palantir’s potential for our own operations. Past projects have included:
• Implementing systems for provisioning hundreds of Palantir stacks for bare metal use cases. • Building a pipeline for automatically deploying Stack Overflow Enterprise to AWS (Medium). • Delivering novel technical solutions for demonstrating Palantir products live in the field at major events.Core ResponsibilitiesDeploy and maintain Linux, Windows, and MacOS systems across widely varying environments, both virtual and on-premises.Understand nuanced technical and operational tradeoffs in the USG business and implement resilient solutions for our stakeholders.Collaborate with partners across Product, Business, and Operations teams to improve cohesion and minimize risk for the business.Assist with troubleshooting various software products, hardware platforms, and other technical issues at all levels of the stack.What We ValueActive US Secret Security clearance.5+ years experience in System Administration, Network Engineering, Security Engineering, or related roles.Proficiency with scripting languages including Bash, Python, or Powershell.Familiarity with virtualization platforms, including AWS, VMWare, and Hyper-V.Practical experience administering services on Windows (2016 or later) and RHELEnthusiasm for systems automation, monitoring, reliability and security.Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.Excellent collaboration and communication skills.Palantir is committed to promoting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion and is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
