The Role
The Finance Team supports and empowers Palantirians through both day-to-day operations and creative problem-solving. In this role you’ll be responsible for helping with the billing, collections, applications, and related reconciliation functions related to our US Government customers. You will be the a point of contact between customer Accounts Payable teams and internal Sales, Legal, and Finance teams responsible for early identification and resolution of billing or collection issues. As a member of our Finance team, you will be encouraged and empowered to innovate when something is broken. We are a fast growing, global organization and you will play a key role in expanding our processes to ensure a streamlined and compliant billing and collections process. Core Responsibilities Manage the billings, collections, credit and cash applications lifecycle for US government customersReview contracts to ensure orders are set up correctly regarding billing, shipping, terms and billing schedules prior to invoicing, liaising with customer contacts to support onboarding, including portal access and configuration, when neededSubmit invoices through government portalsPartner cross-functionally with business stakeholders such as Sales, Legal, Tax, Treasury, and with customers to troubleshoot portal issues, streamline transaction flows and proactively resolve blockers throughout the lifecycleFormalize and improve the customer onboarding and credit process, including process and workflow recommendations to improve collection timeWhat We Value5+ years’ experience in billing and collections for a government contractor/US government entitiesExcellent written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to analyze and communicate complex ideas cross-functionally and across the teamExperience with US government purchase orders, portals, collection processes, and a general understanding of the contracting processesExcellent communications, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to summarize key operational issues to managementAbility to take the initiative, capable of proactively identifying issues/opportunities and recommending next actionsStrong project management skills, with a track record of managing competing priorities on complex cross-functional projects.A growth mindsetOperate using systems and tools currently utilized by the team (e.g. Netsuite, WWAF, Tungsten, IPP) or have the ability to quickly adapt to themPalantir is committed to promoting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion and is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
