Overview:
The Index & Data Solutions team (IDS) is responsible for the index and data strategy for the firm and the management of the commercial relationships with each provider. The Operations team within IDS handles all market data and index requests and works with the vendors address various reporting, invoice processing and other needs in timely manner. The group is comprised of three key areas: Client Onboarding & Servicing, Market Data Operations, and Index Licensing Operations.

Role Description:
We are looking for a high energy, ambitious and motivated team lead to join our Client Onboarding and Servicing team in Budapest. The candidate is a critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills, the ability to simplify complex matters, assess problems and execute on solutions. This Associate will be responsible for our day to day market data orders, project work and business inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee a small team executing on contract and request management workflow for 3rd party market data services

Coordinate changes to commercial subscriptions into existing entitlement workflow and execute recurring monthly usage reporting

Provide request management support and transparency to internal BlackRock investment teams

Respond to business inquiries on market data products and services from our inventory

Collaborate with team members on reconciliation projects (accounts, services and providers), offering ideas for improvements and working together to implement them

Build relationships with our business partners at the firm and providers in the financial services industry

Knowledge/Experience:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, math, or a related field

3-5 years relevant  work experience; knowledge of the Financial Services industry preferred

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are a must

Excellent communication skills (oral and written) are required. Must be comfortable facing off with clients and influencing a broad range of audiences

Team lead and people management experience is required

Must be able to quickly learn and navigate proprietary systems (BlackRock’s own and third-party platforms)

Intermediate Excel knowledge is required. Experience working in VBA

Experience with SQL, Tableau and Power BI is a plus

Knowledge of Market and Index Providers and ability to interpret contract terms and conditions is helpful

Bold and proactive with a willingness to stretch outside comfort-zone

Self-starter, able to prioritize and deliver multiple assignments while maintaining high quality and consistent results

Proven record of alignment with BlackRock’s Principles
