Key responsibilities

Lead and coordinate engagements for the BAI COO and Executive with external and internal partners
Build impactful reports/presentations to communicate with BlackRock and BAI senior management on project progress, final outcomes and implementation plans
Craft impactful C-level presentations, reports, talking points and briefing memos, working closely with strategy, COO, product, investments and client-facing teams within BAI, and Corporate Communications
Work with BAI Executive team, senior management and business leaders to establish strategic project objectives and find opportunities to meet these goals
Assist in formulating data-driven business intelligence and insights and presenting to senior management, 
Contribute to and assist in carrying BAI Exec/ COO projects and initiatives through different phases:
Facilitate projects managed by the BAI Executive team and field ad-hoc requests from the leadership team
Support the functioning of BAI COO and Executive Committee as an effective and efficient governance body that focuses on the most impactful business issues
Coordinate Executive Committee meetings and onsites/offsites in partnership with BAI Exec Team including determining goals, agenda and participants, and leading execution.

Potential development to broader business and leadership roles within BAI and at BlackRock

Experience / Qualifications:

5-7+ years of relevant experience in asset management, wealth management or strategy consulting experience within asset management or broader financial services
Understanding of the asset management industry.
Experience in working with senior management, with the ability to translate complex views and opinions into straightforward, tangible deliverables
Effective project management capabilities with the ability to set guidance, delegate, manage to deadlines, solve problems and navigate trade-offs
Great teammate with high level of motivation and inquisitiveness, comfort with ambiguity and the ability to function well under stress or time pressure
High levels of demonstrated ownership over work product and project engagement
High degree of professional discretion, integrity and judgment
Undergraduate degree required with MBA and / or professional finance qualifications desirable

Skills / Knowledge:

Strong written communication skills and ability to prepare memo’s, presentation etc. for senior Executive team.
Information synthetization: ability to translate complex views and opinions into straightforward, tangible messages and to synthesize large amounts of data and information
Problem solving: ability to think logically and deconstruct a larger problem into sub-components, prioritize issues and allocate resources
Process/project management: effective project management capabilities with the ability to set guidance, delegate, manage to deadlines, solve problems and navigate trade-offs
Interpersonal skills: proven relationship-building abilities, particularly influencing people at all levels, collaborating across different groups and creating an inspirational environment
Positive attitude: team player with high level of motivation and inquisitiveness, comfort with ambiguity and the ability to function well under stress or time pressure
Independent: high level of self-motivation, able to own and drive multiple projects at once and willing to respectfully debate the status quo
Intellectual curiosity: interested in the industry and looking to learn more about asset management, investment vehicles, BlackRock, and Alts business
Technical skills: advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills with ability to quickly produce management-level quality presentations.
