Business Unit Overview:
BlackRock Finance consists of finance professionals in disciplines such as Financial Planning & Analysis (“FP&A”), Treasury, Tax, Financial Controls, Sourcing and Vendor Management, Finance Operations Support and Controllers. Part of the Controllers group, Accounts Payable is a global team with presence in Gurgaon, Singapore, Edinburgh, Belgrade, Atlanta and Budapest.
The AP Team is responsible for developing the infrastructure that allows for employee compliance and management oversight of the firm’s Global Cash Disbursement policy. This includes:
• Acquiring and maintaining global software to facilitate supplier payments
• Ensuring that all modifications to the Global Cash Disbursement Policy are supported by the oversight infrastructure
• Managing the BlackRock’s Global Cash Disbursement Policy through an automated workflow system with no impact to the credit worthiness of the firm.
The role will be reporting to the Supplier Maintenance Manager and will be part of Global Supplier Maintenance team. The role will involve supplier creation as per agreed process, updating vendor/ employee banking, working with financial controls and other stakeholders.
Supplier creation/onboarding in Oracle
Meet all SLAs related to vendor creation and modification
Actively participate in continuous metrics and identify key areas of improvement, including systems and processes
Handle all emails related to SM team
Assist to prepare quarterly audits, reports and schedules
Ensure all documents are verified and attached as per SM process, including Withholding tax etc.
Part of the global AP team to deliver on team objectives and drive efficiency
Work on ad hoc activities/projects
This is a globally focused role in a team which is core to the entire Finance process. The role interacts with both Finance and non-Finance teams around the globe.
This role will provide the candidate with the scope to effect positive change to the control environment by harnessing system capabilities and constantly evaluating processes & procedures to create value for the firm.
1-3 years’ experience in Accounts Payable (Supplier data maintenance is a strong desirable but not essential)
Knowledge of Coupa or Oracle Financials is a plus.
Strong written and spoken English language essential
Self-motivated team player
Ability to recognize and resolve problems
Excellent attention to details
Excellent communication skills by telephone, written and in person
Ability to meet tight time schedules
Self-confident and decisive.
