Blackrock Financial Management, Inc. seeks Vice President, Application Engineering in San Francisco CA to architect, design, and implement new capabilities and features for the new Core Ingestion Framework which serves as a platform for rapid development of new data ingestion microservices that provide data to downstream services. Req’s: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation: developing reusable frameworks and highly-distributed systems using the Java programming language to resolve the resiliency, scaling and performance issues experienced in the applications; working with various application development teams to integrate frameworks and guide the teams to follow best practices; utilizing Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) pipelines for applications in Azure DevOps or Jenkins; converting business stories into multiple technical stories to be implemented in the sprints; collaborating with performance teams to plan performance tests, analyze the test results and fix issues to improve performance; and owning the release activities by code branching, property verification, log verification, defect, and JIRA tracking.
