About this role

Department Overview:
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization plays a critical role as the trusted business partner to all BlackRock business units. FP&A supports all analysis, reporting and planning needs of the business; produces budgets, forecasts and reporting; identifies cost savings opportunities and financial risks; and creates and analyzes business metrics. We are looking for an Associate to join the FP&A team in London

Position Overview:
Financial Planning & Analysis Associate supporting BlackRock Solutions (BRS), a component of the Technology & Operations department.

The successful candidate will be looked at to become the go-to partner for financial and business performance knowledge and data-driven decision support for the BRS organization.

This person will know how to complete detailed analysis and effectively communicate results to leadership.

This person will be a strong critical thinker who is innovative, and solutions oriented.

Key Responsibilities:

Contribute to all FP&A activities supporting BlackRock Solutions:
Business Partnering with eFront (a part of BlackRock) Implementations Organization to ensure accurate revenue forecasts, challenge business assumptions and prepare weekly operational reporting supported with relevant important metrics
Perform headcount analysis against budgeted initiatives and prepare monthly Management Reports for the leadership team.
Build a cohesive story around results and present data in a simple and clear manner. Share results with senior management, including the CFO.
Work closely with colleagues to ensure connectivity on provider performance, new developments and strategic projects;
Proactively looks for opportunities for improvements in execution for monthly forecasts and reporting
Participation in team-wide projects including financial modeling and adhoc strategic finance projects to bring additional insights to the business adding value
Partnership with Operational Management, Global Finance, including Controllers and Sourcing & Vendor Management and Human Resources as needed on key deliverables

Skills & Qualifications:

Graduate with a 2:1 degree or above
Accounting Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), with 4+ years of work experience
Strong attention to detail to ensure a high degree of accuracy
A solutions oriented self-starter who anticipates and prepares for potential problems
Ability to deliver in fast paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple demands
Strong organizational, planning, quantitative and problem solving skills; results driven with strategic and creative thinking
Proven proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and multifaceted analytical tool skills. Proficiency with Essbase/Hyperion or TM1 Cognos a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, who also displays strong interpersonal interactions;
Display knowledge of accounting and pricing principles
