Team Description
The Colombia Wealth Business team serves wealth clients in Colombia and Central America, including Asset Managers, Family Offices, Private Banks, and Independent Advisors. Professionals within the team work together to deliver a full range of asset management, risk management and advisory services relevant to clients’ investment needs. Unified under one global client platform, individual client businesses are accountable for client relationships and distribution of products and services and are supported by a centralized marketing function which ensures consistency globally.

Role Description
As Colombia and Central America Wealth Sales Associate, you will provide BlackRock asset management capabilities to wealth Clients in Colombia and Central America. The individual in this role will develop expertise on the entire range of investment solutions available, which includes mainly exchange traded funds (ETFs), active mutual funds, alternative investments, whole portfolio management solutions, asset allocation ideas through optimizations

Key Responsibilities

Support in the development and strengthening of relationships with Colombian and Central American Wealth clients by generating investment insights, understanding clients’ needs, and leveraging BlackRock’s platform to deliver suitable ideas and solutions.

Adopt and embody BlackRock’s principles, being innovation, a One BlackRock approach, passion and being a fiduciary to our clients.

Partner with key collaborators throughout the business including marketing, client services, legal & compliance, and investment teams in delivering client outcomes.

Navigate the global firm and build internal relationships locally and globally enabling you to support efforts.

Provide timely and high-quality responses to requests and queries from clients

Develop a deep understanding of the varying asset managers to align a sales strategy around this framework.

Support in sales of BlackRock products by developing relationships with Wealth clients.

Produce expected sales results and activity levels defined together with team leadership.

Position and differentiate BlackRock and our products against competitor firms and their products.

Understand the competitive landscape and position BlackRock products to grow market share.

Understand client needs and market trends, provide ideas and solutions to intermediaries to increase sales

Demonstrate an analytical approach to help clients build better portfolios

Maintain an accurate and current log of all activities and opportunities in relevant CRM systems

Manage and follow up of team’s budgeting and financials.

Skills/Qualifications

3-5 years as an experienced investment professional is preferred

Understanding of the asset and wealth management industry in Colombia and Central America.

Knowledge in Mutual Funds, ETF’s and Alternative investments will be considered an advantage.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power Point, OneNote, etc.)

Strong overall sales acumen and analytical skills.

Highly proficient in explaining markets and in positioning/blending the benefits of active portfolios, ETFs, and models.

Ambitious work ethic, professional disposition, detail–oriented and a passion for investments.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Ability to build relationships and influence people at all levels and functions; can work through difficult problems and in conflict situations.

Flexibility in work schedule and willingness to travel when required.

Bachelor’s degree required, fluency in English is required
