About this role

Blackrock’s Markets Coverage Team supports the trading landscape of EMEA domiciled ETFs. Through our Client Engagement pillar, we provide guidance, education and partnership to our EMEA cross-segment client base to help them efficiently trade iShares ETFs. In parallel, our Broker-Dealer pillar works closely with brokers to help them better service clients, increase client adoption and enhance the ETF trading ecosystem.

The team, uniquely positioned within ETF & Index Investments (EII) business, plays a crucial role acting as a key interface between our expert partner teams (such as global markets, product strategy and trading) and our clients. We help our sales force drive the trading conversation by providing the technical knowledge on market structure and ETF trading expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

Working closely with senior team members to provide core client support with technical and trading analysis for clients and BlackRock (BLK) sales partners

Updating existing and generating new relevant presentation material for client pitches 

Working across the broader EII team to disseminate relevant product and market information to clients and sales teams

Collaborate with other BlackRock teams to deliver innovative solutions in the provision of ETF trading expertise to clients.

Identify opportunities and implement solutions to improve processes by leveraging IT skills.

Develop relationships with internal/ external stakeholders (e.g., brokers, exchanges, sales partners)

Proven analytical mindset and critical thinking skills.

Must be a strong team-player but who can also work independently towards goals.

Knowledge / Experience:

2-3 years industry experience with solid interest and understanding of financial markets

Knowledge of ETFs and/ or Fixed Income expertise would be considered a plus

Experience in working with PowerPoint & Bloomberg an advantage

Skills / Qualifications:

Degree in quantitative subject preferred (Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering etc.).

Excellent written and oral communication skills English and additional major European languages would be an advantage.

Coding skills (e.g., Python, VBA) are required, more advanced ability preferable.

Working towards an IMC/CFA considered an advantage.
