BlackRock Solutions (BRS) supports the investment process through the development, deployment, and support of our enterprise investment management platform (Aladdin®), which is utilized by executives, portfolio management, risk management, and operations teams. BRS provides strategic advisory and enterprise investment system services for over 200 clients. Our diverse client base is made up of external institutional asset managers, pensions, insurance companies, banks, and governments around the world. The BRS business is the natural evolution of our long-standing investment in developing sophisticated and highly integrated analytics and systems for managing money.

Aladdin Client Engagement is part of the Aladdin Business within BlackRock Solutions and is responsible for maximizing the value Aladdin delivers to client through engagement and education. ACE works closely with Aladdin clients to be their trusted consultant and business partner. This is a client-facing role and the ACE manger will be expected to build deep partnerships with the clients to build highly effective relationships to understand and solve problems.

Key responsibilities include:

Own relationships with client teams including senior management (e.g. Chief Investment Officer) to understand their business objectives and needs, and help them use Aladdin expertise to achieve their firm’s goals.

Be an extension of the client’s in-house team to build and lead projects and coordinate resources across multiple functional areas and share knowledge relating to Aladdin models, functionality, workflows, and market best-practices

Partner with the client, as well as Aladdin Product Managers, developers, and financial modelers to support client development needs and assist with deployment of new models, analytics, and reporting across our broad range of financial products and investment styles.

Build strong internal relationships within BlackRock Solutions, and the wider BlackRock globally, in support of your clients

Required Skills and Experience

6-10 years of work experience in the financial services industry

Working understanding of equity, fixed income and derivative markets, and analytics

Knowledge of portfolio optimization, performance attribution, and portfolio risk methodologies

Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts simply and clearly to clients

Ambitious approach to large, complex projects, with a flair for problem solving

Self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced, high-intensity environment and works well as part of a multi-disciplinary global team

Preferred Skills and Experience

Experience with SQL, UNIX, Python, PERL or similar tools, and/or Aladdin

CFA, FRM, CIMA, or CAIA certification
