About this role

BlackRock Financial Management, Inc. seeks Associate, Publicly Traded Company Accounting in Santa Monica, CA to perform accounting and reporting processes for one or more publicly traded business development companies, including preparation of financial documents and other information in Forms 10-K, 10-Q and 8-K. Req’s: Master’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation: working with public companies, including asset management companies, to audit their regulatory filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission; analyzing private debt investments for the asset management company; conducting audits of financial statements for public companies; working on testing of internal controls; and utilizing Generally Accepted Accounting Principles to determine required disclosures and presentation in the financial statements. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in one of the above-listed fields and five (5) years of experience in the above-listed skills.
