We are looking for a strategist and smart operator, to partner with iShares head of digital to drive this change globally.
Partner with head of digital to lead the long-term vision and strategy for the function
Drive our annual strategic planning across both US and EMEA, ensuring close partnership with iShares and partner businesses in each region, as well as alignment with regional marketing teams
Partner with the Digital Leadership team to scope and plan the annual roadmap, keeping the master view up to date as the year progresses
Lead competitive reviews and keep abreast of industry trends to identify opportunity areas to stay ahead of
As required, scope, plan, and execute special projects initiated by Digital leadership team – looking at areas including organizational strategy, business management/budgeting, technology platforms, talent and execution plans
Senior communications and engagement
Craft C-level presentations, briefing memos and business review inputs for senior internal stakeholders and client engagements
Drive a strategic communications plan to ensure all key stakeholders are engaged in the strategic direction, annual plans, and are kept abreast of results
Collaborate with colleagues at all levels throughout iShares and BlackRock to drive projects through to completion
Team leadership & talent agenda
Partner with the head of digital to ensure the right organizational structure and operating model
Drive the strategic agenda for the Digital Leadership team to ensure the focus (weekly cadence and quarterly offsites)
Help shape the culture for the group by supporting employee experience and DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) initiatives that target development areas from employee survey
Drive strategic talent management for the group (hi-pos, promo, diverse talent)
Partner with business leads and recruiting partners in recruitment and headcount management
In line with annual planning, lead and oversee our budget and headcount process, in close partnership with the Digital Leadership Team and Global EII Marketing COO team
Oversee vendors, including contract renewals, invoicing in partnership with our Sourcing and Vendor Management Team
Stay connected with regulatory teams to ensure our digital experience adheres to requirements, and we are planning for upcoming needs
Ensure adequate operating and risk control processes are in place, and drive this through the team
Skills & experience:
10+ years of experience in a directly relevant field (financial services, management consulting or similar)
Strategy and project management: Ability to define strategy in a clear and succinct manner
Structured communication skills: Ability to communicate upcoming deliverables and objectives, influence stakeholders and effectively manage projects with lead time, clear and inclusive guidance, and empathy
Interpersonal skills: Ability to engage diverse set of stakeholders, build long-term relationships, and create a collaborative and approachable environment, especially when working across departments or time sensitivity
Problem solving: Critical thinker with superior problem-solving abilities; able to organize people under pressure and pull in key decisionmakers to prioritize issues and respond to clients and senior management
Advanced PowerPoint and business writing skills: Ability to quickly produce management-level quality presentations, business memos and exhibits utilizing data and synthesizing key information
